This weeks weekend remedy is a simple whiskey sour spruced up with fresh oranges and honey. Sometimes it's nice to make a cocktail that's not too complicated yet you still don't feel short changed in the flavor department. This one has been my go to for awhile, plus it's so pretty to look at. Hope your weekend is off to a great start!
Whiskey Sour, adapted from Food and Wine
1 tablespoon honey
1 1/2 teaspoons warm water
3 orange slices, quartered, plus 1 orange wheel for garnish
1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup bourbon
In a cocktail shaker, stir the honey and water until the honey is dissolved. Add the orange slices and muddle. Fill the shaker with ice and add the lemon juice and bourbon. Shake well and strain into a ice filled rocks glass. Garnish with the orange wheel.
